Photocatalyst "Titanistar": Alcohol Gas Decomposition Performance Test
Conducting cycle tests and measuring reaction products! Introducing the materials used and test results.
We will introduce the performance test of alcohol gas decomposition using the photocatalyst "Titanistar." 【Decomposition Performance of Various Alcohol Gases and Cycle Tests】 Base Material: Titanistar MI-W, Titanium Plate 100mm x 100mm, and Titanium Mesh 100mm x 100mm Gas Used: Ethyl Alcohol and Isopropyl Gas, each at 100ppm In a 550ml quartz container, MI-W plate material and EtOH were sealed and exposed to ultraviolet light (1mw/cm²) for 1 hour, measuring the concentration every hour. After the concentration decreased to a certain level, a cycle test was conducted by sealing new gas to evaluate the durability of the photocatalytic film. Tests were also conducted using titanium mesh, IPA plates, and IPA mesh in the same manner. As a result, it was confirmed that various alcohols were decomposed, and the cycle test with new gas sealing also showed no significant difference in decomposition. For the titanium plate and mesh, it was confirmed that the mesh material with a higher surface area decomposed more quickly. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
